Bubble Teahouse

The Bubble tea house is a garden house, I was inspired by the Hungarian architect Antti Lovag.
The assignment
The assignment for Architecture concerns the study of an architectural structure and making the construction of a digital model. We were allowed to choose a building from the history of the 20th century of architectural works of art.
Elaboration
I chose Maison Bernard from architect Antti Lovag. Mainly because I found the architecture interesting, it appealed to my recognition of the past. The big spheres look like eyes and the overall picture reminds me of a Teletubbie landscape. I noticed the environment and Maision Bernard go hand in hand. But what would a building like this look like in the Netherlands? In the Netherlands, the area is often paved or green with lots of nature.
To create a contrast and / or togetherness for the Dutch landscape, I chose to have the Bubble Teahouse overgrown with moss. When I think of Dutch gardens, I think of grass hedges and shrubs that have been trimmed to size and shape.

Het Bubble theehuis is een tuinhuis waarbij ik me heb inspireren door de Hongaarse architect Antti Lovag.
De opdracht
De opdracht voor Bouwkunst betreft het bestuderen van een architectonisch bouwwerk en het bouwen van een digitale maquette. Welk gebouw dit is mochten wij zelf kiezen uit de geschiedenis van 20e eeuw aan bouwkunstwerken.
Uitwerking
Ik heb gekozen voor Maison Bernard van Antti Lovag. Voornamelijk omdat ik de architectuur interessant vond het sprak me aan op mijn herkenning van vroeger. De groten bollen lijken net ogen en het totaalbeeld laten me denken aan een Teletubbie landschap. Het viel me op dat de omgeving en Maision Bernard hand in hand gaan. Maar hoe zou een gebouw als deze in Nederland uitzien? In Nederland is de omgeving vaak bestraat of groen met veel natuur.
Om een contrast en/of samenhorigheid te creëren voor het Nederlandse landschap heb ik ervoor gekozen om het Bubble Teahouse te laten begroeien met mos. Als ik aan Nederlandse tuinen denk ik aan gras heggen en struiken die die strak op maat en in vorm zijn gesnoeid.
